Mmph
Hmm, now this is strange.

Hasn't happened before, but~ I should warn all of you. I was trying to set a teleporter to where we last discovered OSTA's base to be and everything went on the fritz. I managed to fix it so that it would properly transport people and goods again, but I received reports that the destination they wanted to go, although placed correctly, was... well, not where they ended up.

In other words, they're unreliable at this time.

It's quite the inconvenience, no? I can only imagine~ OSTA~~~~ set up a jamming system when we put those coordinates in or, worst case, we have a spy in our tech group. Gee, I wonder if their base might still be there.

Since you might not end up where you want to go, I ask that you don't use the teleporters, or at least very sparingly. You could end up in empty space for all I know. Travelers seeking refuge in Nhode will be a little safe, at least.

[I wanted to put this up for today, but I also, unfortunately, have plans for the day. I won't be able to respond right away (how many times have I rhymed so far?), but feel free to leave comments for me to get back to later. ... and of course, feel free to ignore Zak's warning and mistakingly end up in all sorts of crazy~ places. Even OSTA's base, though they'll probably capture you. :3]

Scary~ but we still have those coordinates, Audrey. Can you afford to move again with all of those people?

Of course we will. You apparently don't know who you're dealing with. ♥

Uh!--Hey, so are you with the guys responsible for those teleporters?

Who cares if they're broken! How did you make them? How many worlds are out there? Do they travel to all of them? How do you avoid getting invaded?

C'mon, inquiring minds want to know!

Most of that information is classified, but we don't know how many worlds there are. As for avoiding - who said we were? As many monsters as you guys have, we have double. So far, they haven't cracked into the base...

Knock on wood.

I LEFT MY SANDWICH ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TELEPORTER!

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Not much I can do about the past, now is there? They're still safe, you'll just end up in the wrong place.

So your machines are not so perfect as we were led to believe by reports?

I consider this good news. Truth is always better than stories told for confidence.

Not dangerous as in you'll teleport and end up missing a limb or something, but dangerous as in you won't end up where you want to go.

...question. Is this an issue caused by the teleporters, or some sort of issue caused to the very fabric of reality that allows you to break through from world to world?
[info]boredofbinary wrote:

I believe the problem is mechanical, that the coordinates end up scrambled somehow, or re-written as pleased. OSTA stole my techn-- figured out a way to either remotely mess with the coordinates or we have a spy within.

You're not stuck necessarily. You can still go, just not where you like. Unless you're graced with the 24% chance you'll make it through.
